Honor Vell Mallorca ★★★

We cannot say enough good things about Honor Vell! The hosts, Heiko and Sabine, made us feel so at home and went very much out of their way to make sure our time at the finca was perfect. There were so many things we loved - having breakfast in the sun on the beautiful terrace, waking up to spectacular views of the mountains, picking fresh figs from the tree and feeding Tinto the donkey! We’re already planning our next trip back. Thank you Heiko and Sabine!

Nothing - everything was perfect.

The place was beautiful. 700 year old olive oil farm with old machinery. Hosts were just above and beyond. They were great. Welcomed and put on a little snack for us in the evening after arriving late. Remembers everyone’s names. They life on the back so there are there to help most of the time. Rooms were cute with hand craves beds. Cleaned everyday whilst at breakfast. The breakfast was incredible. Everything you want. I would deffo be returning and recommending. Thanks!

The window in the room was very small was quite dark and hard to see things. At evening time the warm water would run out. the location is beautiful and perfect but requires a thin windy road to get there.

We had a wonderfull stay at Honor Vell. The owners Heiko and Sabine are lovely and very welcoming. They know every guest by name and they take really good care of their guests. The house is a neatly renovated old olive farm in the middle of the mountains. Perfect for some relaxation or hiking. We will defintely come back here.

We loved the mountain views, the pool, the tranquil location, feeding Tinto the donkey, the brilliant breakfast buffet and the paella evening. Heiko & Sabine are really friendly and helpful.

Sabine and Heiko are extramely friendly, they will make your stay at their hotel very comfortable. Sabine is also a very good cook. Sometimes they organise Paella dinners which are tasty and create great atmosphere!

We liked the idyllic location and the contemporary breakfast Being close to Palma is a plus for those who want to spend more time there in the evening.

To spend a full vacation you need a car so you need to rent one -> maybe it's not a bad idea to have a partnership with a local rental agency

Honor Vell is a true gem. We spontaneously booked 3 nights at the finca and were so glad we found this place. Surrounded by a beautiful mountain range, the finca is located in a truly magical area that allows you to fully retreat from busy everyday life. The hosts are incredible and make your stay feel like a holiday home. local produce for breakfast alongside stories from the impressive finca building and your stay will be a true off road Mallorcan surprise. we will definitely be back. thank you so much!

Amazing organic experience high up in the mountains and away from all the crowds. However, the beautiful towns of Soller, Port de Soller and Daia were all less than a 45 minute car drive away. All of which you could spend a day or an evening exploring. Heiko and Sabina were really wonderful and welcoming hosts. Fantastic breakfasts and a brilliant fresh water pool with incredible cliff views.

We liked everything. Upset that we didn't book for longer.

Not a problem for us but to get anywhere you had to drive

Fantastically peaceful location tucked in between the mountains of Mallorca with a large terrace in the front and an even larger garden and pool area in the back. The entire, well-maintained plot is sprinkled with (olive) trees, flowers and about a dozen different seating options for every time of the day and any kind of mood you might find yourself in. But what makes this place truly special are the hosts, Sabine and Heiko. They are among the finest and most kind hosts I've encountered anywhere in the world, from start to finish. During our stay, they displayed a sincere interest in our well-being during our time at the finca, as well as during our day trips. They always had a good idea to contribute that made our plans better than before. Additionally, they live up to their motto of not serving anything they wouldn't eat themselves - this reflects very deliciously in the breakfast you can expect in the morning. Aside from this, they offer small tapas in the afternoon, so you actually have the option of spending your whole day there. They also offer paella evenings on a regular basis. We were not able to take part during our stay, but came home later that evening to find about a dozen guests sharing wine, stories and laughter in a wonderful atmosphere and setting. To top it off, they also feature their own finca donkey, Tinto, who lives in his paddock right next to the driveway. For kids, or even grown-ups that for some reason love donkeys, this is a very special commodity you wouldn't be finding in the cement bunkers in the coastal regions. All in all, we can highly recommend this location for couples that want some downtime as well as families that are looking for a home away from home.

The only minor inconveniences are the missing air conditioning and the wifi that was not as consistent or powerful as hoped for. On the other hand, I was happy it wasn't that good because I then actually managed to put my phone away and live in the moment a bit more for a few days. If you're looking for a place to stay in your room and watch Netflix all day, this location is not for you in the first place. The missing AC is compensated with fans that do a fine job of keeping you cool at night. Should no medical reasons dictate otherwise, the lack of AC should not keep you from booking here.
